Arowana fish are a large sized fish and they like to swim on the water surface, so for arowana fish under 15cm, the tank will be 120 x 45 x 45cm in size, and for arowana fish 30cm or more, the tank will be 180 x 60 x 45cm in size. You should place the tank in a place with few people passing by and sunlight shining in, the better. In the evening, turn on the room light first and then turn off the aquarium light. If you do this, the fish will not be alarmed. You should cover the aquarium because arowana fish can jump high and prevent them from jumping out of the aquarium.When raising arowana fish, the appropriate water temperature for the fish to grow and develop well is from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius and the pH is about 6.5 to 7.5. If the pH is low, you can add “black water” (which is a chemical extracted from peat leaves – oak leaves in the forests of Indonesia) because arowana fish like light and slightly turbid water.

Before changing the water, you need to check the temperature and pH. You should change the water once a week, about 30 – 50% of the water in the aquarium.
