Techniques for growing aquatic Aglaonema

  • This plant tolerates strong sunlight very well; however, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight for too long. Since it has many colors on its leaves, we should also regularly expose it to sunlight to enhance the pigments in the leaves for a more beautiful color. The best time to expose it to sunlight is in the early morning, for about 15-30 minutes.
  • If the leaves show signs of yellowing or damage when planted, simply cut off the damaged leaves and wash the entire root system of the plant, then replant it.
  • When watering, avoid using water that is too cold. Water regularly during sunny seasons (especially in summer).
  • For soil, this plant requires well-aerated and nutrient-rich soil with a slight acidity. We can mix sawdust and mud to create suitable planting soil.
  • This plant requires a lot of nutrients, so we must regularly fertilize it. If possible, do so every 2 to 3 weeks. Otherwise, at least once a month. If there are too many yellow leaves, the main reason is a lack of nutrients.
