CO2 is an issue that many people are currently concerned about, so is it necessary to use a CO2 cylinder for an aquascape?
CO2 is a gas essential for dissolving in water, helping plants extend their carbon chain for growth and development; however, accessing CO2 cylinders is not simple. Therefore, today we would like to share some experiences regarding the use of CO2.
For larger tanks of about 60 liters and above, using CO2 helps plants grow well, especially for stem plants or carpet plants. However, for smaller tanks, it is not necessary to use a dedicated CO2 cylinder – for such small tanks, we recommend using liquid carbon supplements that dissolve directly in the water. For larger tanks, having a dedicated CO2 cylinder is quite important as it will maintain the stability of the tank and the plants, helping them grow consistently.
(Note: The use of CO2 needs to be regular; if used continuously and then suddenly stopped for a while, plants can easily weaken.)
