Fireworks

A large aquarium layout featuring Fireworks, 300L, by Yorokobido Yamaguchi. The hardscape focus sits on Fossil wood.

The hardscape with Fossil wood sets the rhythm; planting should support those lines without burying them. On the plant side, the layout leans toward foreground carpeting with species such as Glossostigma elatinoides — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. Black paint substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

Chihiros LED VIVID2 ×2 lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this large aquarium. Tetra Value X Power Filter VX-120 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.

With Cardinal Tetra, watch bioload: a large aquarium drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.

Setup notes: This work was produced with a composition looking up from the bottom of the water surrounded by rocks to the fish spreading out on the surface like fireworks.

Japanese fireworks have the value of "wabi-sabi," which is a feeling of beauty in things that change in splendor. I think that the feeling that nothing is permanent is linked to the aquatic plants that change every day.I entrusted this aquascape with the beauty of a moment, like fireworks on a midsummer night. We hope that you will enjoy this work while listening to the music of your memories, as if you are nostalgic for the days gone by.
