A mid-size aquarium layout featuring Ur azpiko erroak, 93.2L, by Gaizka Lambarri. Local stone and wood. set the depth lines of the frame.
Hardscape (Local stone and wood.) forms the skeleton — negative space between wood and stone guides the eye from foreground to depth. The plant list (Hygrophila Pinnatifida, Bucephalandra, Hemianthus Callitrichoides Cuba, Eleocharis parvula) favors slow-growing epiphytes; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy. ADA Light Screen 60 substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.
ONF Flat One + PLUS 60 and ADA Light Screen 60 lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this mid-size aquarium. EHEIM classic 150 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.
With Hyphessobrycon amandae, Hemigrammus rhodostomus, watch bioload: a mid-size aquarium drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.
Setup notes: This aquarium is inspired by my roots, since it made me be more present and more united with my natural environment. (erroak means roots in Basque). Those roots that are so important to keep solid and strong, those that in difficult times will make you stay firm and faithful to your principles.
