A small aquarium layout featuring THE FALLEN GIANT (AGA 2023 #618), 77.7L, by Salvatore Scifo. In this tank I used rosemary woods and dragon skin woods and volcanic rocks from the "ETNA" volcano (Sicily) set the depth lines of the frame.
Read the stone and wood (In this tank I used rosemary woods, dragon skin woods and volcanic rocks from th…) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. The plant list (Micranthemum Montecarlo, Microsorum Trident, Microsorum Windelov, Microsorum Pteropus Petit) favors slow-growing epiphytes; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy.
Twinstar 600S III lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this small aquarium. OASE 600 Thermo filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.
Livestock (Boraras Brigittae, Amano Shrimp, Otocinclus Affinis.) fits this small aquarium — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.
Setup notes: I wanted to create this type of layout because from the beginning the aim was to recreate a tree that is cut down after a terrible storm and that as usual nature always has the upper hand as despite the tree being cut down it remains covered in moss and plants. I tried not to exaggerate too much with science fiction, but from the beginning I aimed to reproduce a style that was as natural as possible. I hope you like this tank.
