Radiance (AGA 2023 #163)

A large aquarium layout featuring Radiance (AGA 2023 #163), 536L, by Juan Puchades. Seiryu multilayered stone and different kind of driftwood (cbo wood + wio woods + other from my collection) set the depth lines of the frame.

Hardscape (Seiryu multilayered stone and different kind of driftwood (cbo wood + wio woods + other from my collection)) forms the skeleton — negative space between wood and stone guides the eye from foreground to depth. On the plant side, the layout leans toward foreground carpeting with species such as Aquatic plants Hemianthus Callitrichoides, Marsilea Hirsuta, Eleocharis Acicularis — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes.

Chihiros LED 10th anniversary x 3 lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this large aquarium. Oase pro800 x 2 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.

With Danio Choprae, Otocynclus Affinis, Crossoscheilus Siamensis, watch bioload: a large aquarium drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.

Setup notes: One of the approaches that most attracts me to this art is the possibility of recreating different atmospheres that transmit different times of the day within a channel or river bed. On this occasion I wanted to reflect the flashes of the first rays of light associated with the use of a species of fish called glowlight, with the aim of closing the link between aquarium and species.

I have added a second photo with a classic version, normal light and flash configuration. In the second photo it is possible to appreciatte different details with a clear image.Best of Show Sponsor
