Mangroves the nature’s guardians

A large aquarium layout featuring Mangroves the nature’s guardians, 200L, by Asaftei Adrian Cristian. The hardscape focus sits on lava rock, local driftwood.

Read the stone and wood (lava rock, local driftwood) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. The plant list (Rotala Rotundifolia, Rotala sp. green, Limnophila aromatica mini, Potamogeton Gayi) favors background stem plants; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy.

Week Aqua Phoenix D + Tetronic led 980 lighting sits at a approachable technical level for this large aquarium. Tetratec Ex 1200 plus filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters. Low-tech tip: favor slow growers and avoid dense planting if filtration is modest.

Livestock (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi, Hemigrammus erythrozonus, Crossocheilus siamensis) fits this large aquarium — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.

Setup notes: Inspired by mangrove forest, reason why I used straight roots for the trees and also aerial roots

I imagined the flooded forest and tried to make it as natural and as wild as I could.I took the photo with the fishes in the root area because the roots offers shelter for so many species of fish.
