Craving

A large aquarium layout featuring Craving, 254L, by Ismael Aguilar Soria. The hardscape focus sits on Volcanic stone, roots and sand.

Read the stone and wood (Volcanic stone, roots and sand) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. On the plant side, the layout leans toward background stem plants with species such as Rotala Hra, Rotala Orange juice, Rotala Bangladesh — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes.

6*38w T5 lighting sits at a approachable technical level for this large aquarium. Biomaster 600 OASE anda Crystal Profi 1501e JBL filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters. Low-tech tip: favor slow growers and avoid dense planting if filtration is modest.

With Brevibora Dorsiocellata, Corydora Panda, Neocaridina Heteropoda, watch bioload: a large aquarium drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.

Setup notes: NEO Soil of AquaRIO, fertilization os Aquaforest and plants of Aquaflora

It is a creative work, it is not inspired by any real landscape, I usually run away from that method. If it is true that it has a story behind it, my visit to the Teide National Park and my admiration for what I found there, has served to create this forever memory of the experience I lived there. It also has a second meaning, like the meaning of the word in English, it is the feeling that all aquascapers have every year when we get down to work.It is a creative work, it is not inspired by any real landscape, I usually run away from that method.
