Touching the silence

A large aquarium layout featuring Touching the silence, 360 L, by Evgeny Trofimov. driftwood and stones from the Ural rivers set the depth lines of the frame.

The hardscape with driftwood sets the rhythm; planting should support those lines without burying them. On the plant side, the layout leans toward mosses and epiphytes with species such as Stringy Moss &#8211, Leptodictyum riparium, Fissidens fontanus — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. ADA Amazonia, lava substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

LED WRGB lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this large aquarium. Eheim 2217 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.
