Shady Path

A nano tank layout featuring Shady Path, 39.3L, by I Putu Bayu Yatha Loka. Master soil and Lavarock set the depth lines of the frame.

Hardscape (Master soil, Lavarock, Rasamalla Roots) forms the skeleton — negative space between wood and stone guides the eye from foreground to depth. On the plant side, the layout leans toward mosses and epiphytes with species such as Hairgrash, wepping tropica moss, ricardia moss — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. Pumice substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

1X Chihiros WRGB 2 45cm lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this nano tank. 1x Atman A3335s filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters. On nano tanks, ramp light intensity over the first 2–3 weeks to limit hair algae.

Livestock (10 Cardinal Tetras) fits this nano tank — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.
