A nano tank layout featuring Resilience (AGA 2023 #714), 17.7L, by Jusal Quanico. The composition is built around Dragonstone with Spiderwood.
Read the stone and wood (Dragonstone, Spiderwood) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. On the plant side, the layout leans toward mosses and epiphytes with species such as Weeping moss, Anubias barteri var. nana "Gold", Anubias barteri var. nana "Pinto" — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. None substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.
Chihiros CII lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this nano tank. None filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters. On nano tanks, ramp light intensity over the first 2–3 weeks to limit hair algae.
With 3 Black neocaridina shrimps, watch bioload: a nano tank drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.
Setup notes: Substrate used was old soil from another scape, with ADA La Plata sand at the front. 50% water change with suctioning of aubstrate every week. Osmocote planted on substrate every 1-2 months.
