Decisions

A large aquarium layout featuring Decisions, 300L, by Daniel Pierce. The composition is built around Lava rock with unknown driftwood.

Read the stone and wood (Lava rock, unknown driftwood, Malaysian driftwood, Spiderwood,) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. The plant list (Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo”, Glossostigma Elatinoides, Hemianthus Micranthemoides, Anubis var. nana petite) favors foreground carpeting; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy. Window privacy film with a DIY led light bulb stand in the back. substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

Chihiros Vivid II x2, 7hrs a day. lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this large aquarium. Oase Thermo 850, Oase Thermo 650 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.

Livestock (Harlequin Rasboras, Amano shrimp) fits this large aquarium — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.
