Caught beneath the roots

A mid-size aquarium layout featuring Caught beneath the roots, 125.1L, by Fritz Shann Lee Rabaya. The hardscape focus sits on Pagatpat driftwood.

The hardscape with Pagatpat driftwood sets the rhythm; planting should support those lines without burying them. The plant list (Hydrocotyle Leucocephala) favors a mixed planting; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy. Illustration board (using the white surface) with a light focused from above to reflect to the camera. substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

Light: Chihiros A Plus Series, Chihiros A901 Plus, 90cm, 95 watts, 14200 Lumens, Color temperature (8000 kelvin) lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this mid-size aquarium. Filter – Sunsun 604B Canister Filter filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.

Fertilization: Daily dose of fertilizers, I use 2hr Aquarist APT Complete. My water change schedule is 2-3 times a week after the 2 week daily during from the start of the scape.
I feed my fishes once a day with a small amount of Hikari Micro PelletsMy lighting period is 6hrs a day.
I also have a cooling fan, it's an Ista I-571 .I have a DSLR camera issue. My DSLR can't capture the true colors of my current layout. Some of the provided photos was shot by my camera phone. Only issue using my phone for final photo is that it can't capture the finer details of the layout.
Personally fascinated by the sight of underview of roots. It is a compilation of large wood and small wood and dragon stones. Dragon stones was my personal decision to use because I wanted some sense of direction of the design since it is an underview of roots, a deterioration of rocks is a must since it has a strong current underwater.I would like to extend my deepest respect to the people who made the AGA 2023 possible. This is my 2nd entry for AGA, and I am proud to share my creation; "Caught beneath the roots". Personally fascinated by the sight of underview of roots. It is a compilation of large wood and small wood and dragon stones. The impression is inspired by Studio Ghibli - characterized by deep absorption in something such as an activity or a real/artificial environment while including realism.
