A mid-size aquarium layout featuring Below the Mountain, 98.5L, by Taylor Cook. Ohko Stone and Spider Wood set the depth lines of the frame.
Hardscape (Ohko Stone, Spider Wood) forms the skeleton — negative space between wood and stone guides the eye from foreground to depth. On the plant side, the layout leans toward background stem plants with species such as Plants: Hydrocotyle Tripitaria, Hemianthus Micranthemoides, Alternanthera Reineckii — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. Frosted Film substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.
Twinstar C-Line Ver. 3 lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this mid-size aquarium. Oase Filtosmart Thermo 200 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.
Livestock (White Cloud Mountain Minnows, Platy Varieties, Otocinclus) fits this mid-size aquarium — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.
Setup notes: This triangular composition is done in a UNS 60T. It is a taller tank, so I took the scape to the top, and it gave me plenty of space for a dramatic slope finishing off at the bottom. Thank you for your time! The liquid fertilizer is from Glosso Factory out of Arizona, the substrate is UNS Controsoil Fine, it's a FZone 4L CO² generator, the CO² diffuser and Filtration pipes are from Aquario. The photo uploaded is not edited, it is however cropped to fit the frame.
