A large aquarium layout featuring AGA 2023 Layout 525, 300L, by Yuki Nakata. The hardscape focus sits on yellow tiger stone, branch driftwood, la plata sand.
Hardscape (yellow tiger stone, branch driftwood, la plata sand) forms the skeleton — negative space between wood and stone guides the eye from foreground to depth. On the plant side, the layout leans toward foreground carpeting with species such as Micranthemum callitrichoides, Micranthemum tweediei 'Montecarlo', Glossostigma — trim in layers so hardscape still breathes. light screen substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.
ADA solar RGB,kessil A360X Tuna Sun,9hour lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this large aquarium. EHEIM2217 filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters.
Livestock (Hyphessobrycon elachys, Caridina sp.Neocaridina sp., Caridina multidentata.) fits this large aquarium — prefer species that will not dig up the substrate and wreck hardscape lines.
Setup notes: I titled it "Exploration"to express my feelings about the long months, the view that seems to lead to a world yet to be seen, and my desire to continue to enjoy aquariums in the future.
