A Gruta

A nano tank layout featuring A Gruta, 23L, by Mateus Fantoni. The composition is built around Dragon Stones.

Read the stone and wood (Dragon Stones) as visual pathways before judging the plant mass. The plant list (Monte carlo, Hemianthus micranthemoides, rotala hra, ludwigia SP.red) favors background stem plants; packing the foreground too dense can make the tank feel heavy. White vinil substrate helps stabilize root-zone nutrition in the early weeks.

Chihiros a401 lighting sits at a moderate-to-high technical level for this nano tank. Sunsun hw-603b filtration needs enough turnovers without blasting the hardscape; browse matching filters. On nano tanks, ramp light intensity over the first 2–3 weeks to limit hair algae.

With Galaxy rasbora and Caridina Red Crystal, watch bioload: a nano tank drifts quickly if stocking is heavy.
