How to choose the right product
Minimum kit: TDS pen + liquid ammonia/nitrate tests; add pH pen or drop checker for CO2 or Caridina shrimp.
TDS meters
Track RO output, tap water and remineralized mixes. Budget pens work — replace batteries and calibrate with standard solution periodically.
pH pens
Fast pH checks for shrimp setups — calibrate with pH 4 and 7 buffers. Does not replace GH/KH kits; keep probe moist.
CO2 drop checkers
